The CSW’s Women’s Leadership Conference, RISE 2020, was re-scheduled to take place virtually from August 24 – 28, 2020.  The conference focused on women of color and featured sessions on leadership, corporate and nonprofit career advancement, mental health and wellness, and youth advocacy. There were 415 unique participants who attended multiple sessions and sessions that were livestreamed reached 2800 views, including keynote Aimee Allison, Congresswoman Jackie Speier, Women’s Equality Day and the Women’s Hall of Fame. 92% of session ratings received a 4+ numerical score on a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). 80% of respondents would attend a future conference and 70% of respondents either lived or worked in San Mateo County; meaning that 30% attended from outside of the County; reaching a broader audience who are invested in women and equity. The Women’s Hall of Fame recognized four outstanding women leaders who have dedicated their time to creating positive change in the community.
